Dear Sir/Madam,
I am an Indian citizen working in USA on H1 B status. My H1 B visa got expired in 2009 and hence I came to Tijuana, Mexico to get my visa stamping; however, unfortunately it seems like it may take months for consulate to make a decision hence they gave my passport back, my old visa as “cancelled without prejudice” and have asked me to either get visa in Mexico and wait for their response or go back to India. Now I am in Mexico and planning to go back to India. My question is, do I need a transit visa if I have a stopover in Pu Dong Airport in Shanghai for less than 24hrs?
It is an urgent matter hence your earliest response would be greatly appreciated.
