Transit Visa-Transit through Frankfurt

I have a Syrian passport traveling to Canada with a residence visa to Canada and I have also a valid visa to the USA. I am transiting through Frankfurt for few hours. I would like to rest at the airport hotel during that transit. What should I do concerning visa. Does the airport transit visa applies to me?
