I am a Chinese citizen with an F1 visa in the US. I am going to London to do a summer program of my university from the end of May to the middle of August. I am going to apply for a Tier 4 visa for my London trip. I am going to fly from the US to UK in May, then fly from London back to the US in August.
However, I wanna go to Schengen visa countries during my stay in London. Multiple trips.
Here is my current situation: my US F1 visa is going to expire in June. So originally I plan to renew my F1 visa when I arrive in London since I am not going back to China. But I heard that if I want to apply Schengen visa here in the US before I leave for London, my US visa has to be valid for at least three months from the date I leave the Schengen visa country. Obviously, my US visa wont be valid until then. Also, usually students get about 3 months UK Tier 4 visa for our program and I believe they have the same requirement for the UK visa too in order to apply Schengen visa in the UK.
I am pretty confused and don't know what should be done. Please help!
