Hi,
Here's the situation:
1) I'm Lebanese
2) I live and work in NY - on H1-B visa
3) Came to beirut via frankfurt (no transit visa needed)
4) Had booked a return with a transit in frankfurt & brussels on 8/28
5) My return flight was cancelled due to the hurricane
6) Now I am trying to rebook my return among the hurricane mayhem
HERE'S THE PROBLEM: my airline (lufthansa) is saying that I can not transit through 2 schengen countries with a Lebanese passport (and US visa) and that they need to change my return route (and pay for the difference of course).
All of my research shows that I do not need transit visas for either germany or belgium. Is there some rule that says I can only transit through one and not more schengen countries??
I can't find any info online. PLEASE HELP!!
