Hi folks,
I am currently located in san francisco, and working on my F1 visa (OPT extension, expiring in may 2012). My H1 is already approved, but will be in effect from October 2011.
I am going to India in December 2011 for my marriage and me and my fiance will be coming back to the US. We are planning to take a week's break in Europe on our way back.
My Question are:
1. Can I apply for Schengen visa from the US, considering that my visa status will change in october to h1 but will not have my stamping done by than. can I try aplying before october while on F1 visa?
2. Which embassy shall i apply to in terms of high success rate?
3. If the schengen visa is rejected , what is the window in which i can reapply and does a previous rejection affect the next application in any way?
4. Can my fiance apply for the schegen visa even before her H4 gets stamped in October, as the ittenary will show the destination as US, so do they care if she has valid visa for entry in the US or not.
5. We will have a combined travel arrangements but i am planning on giving my visa interview from US and she will give it form India. Is that advisable?
Please suggest or give inputs,
Really appreciate your help,
Thanks.
