Visa For Germany

Hi

I belong to Pakistan and by profession I am a Banker. My husband is living in Germany with a legal stay of five years. Now I want to go to Germany to visit him rather than permanent shifting to Germany. I dont want to apply for family re ninion visa but a Visit Visa. I want to see him in mid Jan because of my scheduled holidays of Bank and also want to have trip of Switzerland. Please advise me what should i do in such a situation and how I should apply? Weather I should obtain sposorship from my husband?

I think this is a late reply as you wanted to visit in Mid-January. Here it goes: you will have to apply for Schengen Visa through the German Embassy. Along with your application, you will need the 'Letter of Invitation' which is one of the requirements and your husband's company or business can issue that from Germany. You will need to check as there are other documents requirements as well. The question unclear in my mind is that whether you require a Single entry or Multiple entry as you wish to travel to Switzerland as well. I have posted the question in this forum and hopefully someone can enlighten with the correct answer.
