Valid F1 Visa on expired passport..Do I need a Transit Visa through France?

Hi ..

I am an Indian citizen and travelling to Mumbai via Paris in Gulf Air for my H1 stamping.
I have a valid F-1 but I changed my status to H1 this year. But my F1 is stamped on my passport which expired this July 2011. I got a new passport issued also. My layover time in Paris is 1.5 hours.

Do I need a transit visa in my case?

I am travelling on the first week of January. Any responses quickly will be appreciated.
