Schengen visa processing time

Hi,

I need to visit Paris urgently for some personal reasons on 25th this month. I have filled the short stay tourist visa at french embassy website but the closest appointment date for appointment is 17th of feb. Will I get a visa in such less time or should I cancel my trip? (which I dont really want to).
