Change of status - H1 to L1A - will i get new i94 date

I am on H1 visa which is stamped till 3/31/2017. However my i94 is expiring on 10/10/2016 due to passport expiry date.
I want to apply for change of status from H1 to L1A. My question is if my L1A application gets approved, will I get new i94 date (based on petition approval date)...
