Esta extension

Hello,

I am travelling to the states in a month with my baby daughter she is 10 months. I am travelling from the uk with a visitor's visa and my daughter is travelling with ESTA privileges. If I don't get granted 6 months visiting period upon entry I need to extend my visa for 6 months....
