I've to study full-time from Jan 2017 or Aug 2017, so will have to transfer to a F1 visa.

This seems to be one unique situation, i came to USA on F1 visa then converted to H1B. But lost my job in 2008 and lost my H1B too after working on H1B for 11 months. I went back to my home country and came back to USA again on F1. Currently i am on F1 for around 1.5 years....
