During GC processing, the NVC sends you the dates for consular interview. It is important that you book a biometrics appt at VAC before attending it. If not, you'll be sent back home.

GC Interview scheduled at old Field Office
I was based in Washington DC but moved from there to Denver. My USC wife and I notified USCIS via respective forms (I-865 and AR-11) and even got back NOAs confirming that address change was noted by USCIS. I also called their contact center to confirm and they said yes it had been updated.
