Maximum gap allowed between H1B petition approval and H1B Visa Stamping

I am on L1B right now.

I am planning to go through H1B Consular Processing instead of H1B Change Of Status(for my personal reasons).
If my H1B petition gets approved in 2017 then maximum how much time I will have till I get it stamped ?
I want to delay H1B stamping as...
