Can we apply for SSN now with this EAD or should we have to wait until June to even apply for the EAD ?

Worked at company A, for 10years and have I140 with them.

Changed to company B, 2 yrs back and applied for h1 using company A's I140 and got 3yr h1b extension.

Company B did not start my GC process yet and will not start till February 2016 and my h1 expires...
