Incorrect I-94, new passport, H1B transfer

Ok, I think I may be confusing a lot of things here. My visa status changed from F1 -> H1B last October. I went to India this January, got the H1B visa stamped, renewed my Indian passport and returned on Feb 1. The H1B visa is on my old passport and my "port of entry" stamp (from Abu Dhabi)...

Back in December 2019 I applied for an H1-B visa, and I got it for one year, but my I-797B stated I could work until June 2021. At the port-of-entry, where I got my I-94, the officer told me I could only get the I-94 for one year even though the I-797B stated another time period....

My electronically downloaded I94 from CBP site is having wrong Class type. Instead of L1B it has L1A. Before it gets corrected can I apply for SSN? Also how I can get my I94 corrected?

Hi There,
Recently, I came back from vacation and the officer @ Houston aiport stamped by entry with B2 visa instead of L1 visa. This has led to wrong entry in my I-94.
Looks like I need to exit and re-enter again, is Mexico a good option? Is anyone else in the same boat?
