My wife is on H4 visa. I recently extended both my H1B and her H4. So with new extension was Approved on 21st Jan 2014 and effective start date from Mar 20 2014 - Mar 19 2017.

Hi All,

My wife entered US with H4 Visa on Sep, 2012. Later applied for H1 visa on April, 2013.
Meanwhile my H1-extn was applied along with her H4 Extn on May, 2013.
Her H1 Visa (with Change Of Status) was approved on Nov, 2013.
Both our Extns(H1, H4) got approved...

My H1 was approved on 16th July 2013 and valid from 1st October 2013 .As of now I'm on H4 which is expiring on 30th July hence I applied for H4 extension. My employer says that since H1 comes into picture only from 1st October so even if my H4 is approved before 1st October then also H1 will be my latest...
