H1B layoff + engaged to USC - what should I do?

I on an H1B visa. I think my employer might soon lay me off (due to company issues unrelated to my performance). I'm engaged to a USC.

What are my options if my employer lays me off?

In that case, should I perhaps:
- get married sooner & apply...

I have a situation. I am on a B1 trying to get married to a US citizen whom i love dearly. I was on H1B in the US between May-Nov 2011 and have returned to the US to marry my man.
I have not yet divorced my husband in India. Can I know how to go about it ?
