DS160 different numbers on appointment and confirmation

I have a weird situation. I took an appointment with a DS160 number in Ottawa and when I went to submit the DS160 form I could not retrieve it and has uploaded from my computer to the website but it gave me a different number than that is present in the appointment confirmation....
