PIO to OCI conversion delays

I had applied for PIO for son which is valid till 2019 and is hand written.
Traveled earlier to India. Now planning to travel next month. In the meantime , the passport mentioned in the PIO has expired and got a new US Passport.
Will the PIO be still valid or I have to get it changed...

I want to share my experience on OCI in lieu of PIO, so far since it was mentioned last day was 31st Dec to submit otherwise pay fee for this, I submitted everything by that time, they sent back form saying minor above 5 (in my case 7) let them sign not mentioned on form mentioned...

Hi - When submitting OCI in lieu of PIO form on Govt Site it asks for "PIO ValidUpto" date which in PIO is lifelong but if you enter 'lifelong or NA or anything else' that it says invalid format ? Does anybody know what date we need to enter there ? Please advise. Thanks !

What happens to your old PIO card after conversion to OCI in lieu of PIO? Is the old PIO card taken back by the consulate or is a hole punched in it?

So I applied for OCI and renunciation separately on CKGS. Wasn't really sure how I managed that but I did. I got an update notice that my US passport is being sent back to me from CKGS in Chicago, but no update on my OCI card...how will I know I have received oci status? I went through the CKGS process...

My wife and I are India citizens and our daughter is an USA born, citizen.
We do have her PIO card, which we got in 2009 and is valid till 2024.
In between, we did renew her US passport in India ( Chennai Consulate )
and that is valid till 2019.
