Is having any kind of designation and reportees necessary for L1A visa ?

I am trying to understand if there are any reportees necessary to be able to apply for L1A visa ?
And does your designation in the organization should be '* manager' ?

I am applying for a functional manager position L1A blanket. In the role 9 people manager would report to me who in turn would have 100+ reportees to them. So how many indirect reportees I have? 9 or 109+? Thanks in advance for help.
