L1 Visa denail and stay in USA

My Husbands L1 extention got denied today. His I94 is valid only until 8th April 2012.
I am 38 weeks pregnant and cannot travel to India. Within how many days we should travel back to India since our Visa got denied?

Hi,
I hold L1 B visa and both I-94 and petition are expiring on 18-Dec-2011.
My company told that it is filed with USCIS on 30-Nov-2011.
I am asking them for receipt number for filing my extension but they are saying "It will take 3-5 weeks to get the receipt".
