My passport does not have a Surname and has only Given name of two words....'AAAA BBBB'. I filled in 'FNU' in Given name and 'AAAA BBBB' in the Surname field

I got intervewed on november 4th 2013 in toronto canada. The interview went well and VO approved my visa. Today i.e. 11/8/13 I checked my status online and it states refusal. They didn't even sent back my passport and h1b as the status was last updated on 11/4/13.
