How to do multiple H1's?

I work for a company A (full time) and i am on STEM OPT. And my employer would do one H1 application for me.

a) Should I get the second application from a company B ? (By going through the interview process around Feb and requesting for an H1)

b) Or should I do the second...

I need to enquire about my daughter's passport (DOB 2010). Passport was issued in December 2011 and as per Indian guidelines it is valid for 5 years, which is December 2016.
We are currently in Australia on a 457 visa valid upto December 2015 but this likely to be extended...
