  • First time to apply a B1/B2 VISA. I need some advice.

Hi! I am Shiny. I am from Philippines (28 years old and single). I have been working here in Shanghai (China) for almost 6 years now as a Head english teacher in an international school. I have traveled to different countries such as Indonesia, Thailand and Japan. I have also traveled to Hong Kong and Beijing but they're still part of China. My mom is currently in the US; she has a 10 year multiply entry visa and she is there to visit my grandma (who will be a green card holder next month). My sole purpose to go there is to visit my relatives as I have not been able to see them for quite a long time. 2 of aunts are both residing there and are green card holders. Do you think I will have a high chance of getting a US visa? My work contract is still valid until June 2017. Thanks for your advice.

      US visitor visa

Hi, yes the chances are better, but as you said your mom is their too on visitor visa, how long is she there in, and need to show strong bonding to the place you are working in and come back.

Hello guys.. Visa status changed to "ISSUED" today. Is it safe to assume that I got the visa?
