L1B to H1B issues

H1B petition approved with change of status. What happens if I'm not in US on October 1st and returning to US on October 3rd ?
I and my dependents have valid L1B & L2 visas valid until mid next year. My H1B got picked in the lottery and got approved. My dependents H4 & H4 EAD is filed but not approved. We have an international trip in September last week and we are returning on October 3rd.

1) As we have valid L visas stamped in my passport, will I face any problems while coming back to US?
2) What happens to my H1B approved petition?
3) What happens to my dependents H4 COS & EAD petitions? (Not approved yet)

If you are leaving your L visa company before leaving from USA, then you need to have H1 stamped on your passport.

2) What happens to my H1B approved petition?

One can have multiple non-immigrant visas/petitions at any time.

3) What happens to my dependents H4 COS & EAD petitions? (Not approved yet)

If the application is approved by the time you'll come back - they'll need to have H4 visa stamped.
