I'm planning to schedule B2 (tourist visa) interview for my in-laws in Mumbai, somewhere in December this year. Recently, on 1st November my parents and my mentally handicapped brother, got their US Visitor Visa stamping successfully done in Mumbai Consulate.
I had a few question with regards to the documents required for my in-laws during their Visa interview:
1. Should the documents like 'Letter to Consulate', 'Invitation Letter' be addressed by me referring to my In-Laws or addressed by my spouse referring her parents ? Note that since my spouse is a house wife, i'm the sponsor in this case.
2. Should the Affidavit Of support (I-134) should be signed by me or by my spouse. I feel since i'm sponsoring, it should be me. Please confirm.
3. Should the 'Cover letter' and 'Affidavit' indicate about visting their Son-in-Law and his family or should it refer to their Daughter and her family instead.
4. Will it affect the chances for my in-Laws getting the Visa, since my parents have only recently got theirs.
5. Can i re-use the common documents for my In-Laws like Employer letter, Bank statement, etc. since I had just recently prepared these for my parents' interview?
