URGENT-- Supporting Documents for Visitor Visa

Hi,

My parents have their appointment on July 31st at Mumbai Consulate. They have taken appointment through PUNE VFS Appilcation Center. ( Not Online). At the time of taking appointment VFS only accepted DS-156,Passport Copies, photographs and HDFC Bank Receipt and handed over the Appointment Letter.

Now when my parents went to submit all other supporting documents, the VFS is saying that Supporting Documents did not need to submit if you have taken appointment in person. If you have taken appointment online then only they will accept the supporting documents. They straight away refused to accept all supporting documents and said please carry it to the Interview.

Now I m in confusion where to submit the supporting documents?

Please someone help me...

just carry them when u go for interview..

If we do not submit any supporting documents, will there be any impact on getting Visa? OR

Is it Ok if they courier the supporting docs to VFS at Mumbai?

for Mumbai consulate, you are required to submit following documents only after scheduling online appmt a minimum of 5 day prior to your appmt.
1.Original DS156
2. Original DS157
3. DD for Rs. 2300/-
4. Orginal HDFC receipt-consulate copy-yellow sticky
5. Copy of passport -first and last page and any other remark page
6.Copy of the interview letter
7. Checklist

SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS TO BE TAKEN ONLY AT THE TIME OF THE INTERVIEW.

Their website as well as the checklist with the appmt letter is mentioning supporting documents but there are not required for Visitors visa

So, I believe you are fine...
