H1 Extension

My company applied for my visa extension on 30-Nov-2009 and got approved till 04/25/2011.

My question on approved validity.

Here is the details of my entry and exit periods.

I entered USA on 1-Aug. 2004 worked for 40 days.

-Again I entered on 4-nov-204 and exit on 14-Aug-2005. (worked for approx. 280 days ).

- Again I entered on 8-Oct-2006(after approx. 15 months) and exit on 5-July-2008 (worked for approx. 21 months).

- Again I entered on 3-Aug-2008(after 29 days) and exit on 1-July-2009(worked for 11 months).
- Before extension my visa was valid till 9-dec-2009.

Now i got visa extension approval till 25-apr-2011.
As per my calculation, my H1 visa extension should be upto middle of 2012.

Please take a look on days provided above and help/guide me that why I got till 25-Apr-2011.

H1B in total is for 6 years. You can once again apply for extension to recapture the time spent outside U.S before your current I-94 expires. Your company attorney need to submit a summary of travel of your travel and the number of days spent out of the U.S. along with supporting documentation such as photocopies of passport stamps, Form I-94 arrival/departure records, plane tickets etc to USCIS while applying for the extension based on the time spent outside U.S.
