H1 B transfer from India

Hi,

I had a H1B visa from a reputed company A approved in Sep-2006. I was in US till Mar-2009 and came back to india and Joined india office of Company A. My first term of H1B was till Sep-2009 and it has expired now. Now I'm getting a offer from company B and they are saying they can renew and transfer my H1B Visa. I would like to know whether this case is possible, like the visa which has already expired in Sep-2009 and can other company can transfer it? I'm in India from Mar-09 to till date. Please help ASAP, Thanks everyone...

Transfer is not possible with an expired petition. There is no much difference between transfer and a new petition. Ask the company to file a fresh H1B. When that gets approved, you will get a fresh 6 year period since you are already spent 1 year outside U.S.
