I got a bachelor's degree from a 4-year undergraduate program in Indonesia (not in Mathematics). When I applied to San Jose State to continue my study in Mathematics, they rejected it with the reason that my degree is not equivalent as a US Bachelor. This means I cannot continue my study to a master's program. But when I discuss my intention to apply to UC institution to take a bachelor's program, a counselor from Community College said UC do not accept a second bachelor. I also saw the same information about CSU, that they do not accept a second bachelor. But, department of Mathematics in San Jose State said they accept a second bachelor applicant. All of this information is so contradictive and confuses me. What should I do to continue my study?
