applying for student visa

I have a query if someone can help me with thi.I already have tourist visa for ten years.now i plan to apply for student visa i just want to know that if i apply for student visa and if my student visa gets rejected will it effect my tourist visa can it be revoked.please reply to my query as soon as possible.
