Hi All,
I am a fall 2010 Masters student at Texas A& M university. There has been a mistake in my passport issue at Lucknow India. My last name has been left blank and whole of my name as been put into my first name. Now when TAMU issue my i-20 they put the whole name in my last name...since an i-20 cant be issue without a last name.
Now due to this mismatch I am facing problems with my campus job, although i have got an SSN.
They are asking me to go to Houston to the Indian counsalate and get the passport corrected. Has anyone faced this problem before ? I tried emailing and calling up the Houston office but neither did anyone picked the calls nor did anyone answer my email.
How shall I proceed? An appointment would be needed at the counsalate if I am right ?? Does any one has any contact there
