Importance of imergency appointment

Hi every body!

Currently I'm in sudan waiting for my interview time of my f1 vissa. I've scheduled my interview to be on may 12 and in my I-20 form it's saying I have to reach US before may 17. Do you think it's necessary to make emergency appointment? If so, what is the procedure? How much is the fee?

Go through the security gate
Fingerprinting.
Submit all required documents and answer some basic questions
Pay all fees, if not paid before. If you are not sure that this fee has been paid in the past, bring the above fee amount to the interview.
Interview with a US official
Fees for these procedures are around $160 for an F visa.
