EAD- Country of Birth unknown

Hi I am a student and today I received of EAD card . In my card , my country of birth is mentioned as “UNKOWN” .
I checked my I-765 , and I think I made a mistake there . I just wrote place of birth exactly as my passport and left state and country blank since it was not there in my passport. I messed it up big time .
I have called USCIS ,and they said I am gonna hear back from them within 15 days.
Do I need to re-file the application again ?. I was hoping I could go to india and meet my parents as I already have an offer.

I know am stupid but it happened . Can you guys suggest me something .

Send a letter to USCIS, with copy of the EAD. Keep the orignal EAD until you receive a replacement or a confirmation of the record change.

Should I wait for their response. I am just scared that they don`t ask me to refile everything ! I would be devastated if that happens!

You might never get a response, and your Work Authorization is valid.

How are you going to return to the U.S.? Do you have an Advance Parole indicated on the Work Authorization?

Don't send the card back unless USCIS asks you to send it back.

Hello,

I think i did not enter country in place of birth and I got unknown in EAD card. Please guide me about what to to now.
