Passport expiring soon. Need to apply for OPT.

Hi,

My passport expires in October this year. I need to file for OPT soon to obtain my EAD card. Should i apply for OPT with the existing passport or renew my passport and then apply for OPT(which will delay OPT start date considerably).

Kindly advise.

Hi, i would love to know what hapen...my passport is expiring in june 2018. i filled out my application with this same passport in january 2018.
I m still waiting on the decision for the OPT
What happened, did you get a RFE asking for a new passport or did that work?

I actually see that yours was expiring more than 6 months after (me 5)
