OPT pay roll

Hi all,

Can any one tell me is it possible to run the pay roll on OPT even after getting H1B? because I heard that if we are on H1B and even if we don't have a job for one month we are out of status. I am in OPT now and I am planning to apply for H1B this year. So is it possible to run OPT pay roll even after getting H1b (I mean after Oct 2009).

Any help is greatly appreciated.

There is nothing like OPT payroll and H1B payroll. If you have a job, you must get paid. If you are on H1B, that is your job and even 1 day on bench is not allowed. On OPT you are only allowed to stay unemployed for max 90 days. Running false payrolls without actual payment is illegal.
