Going back to US territory with a comfirmation email of pending OPT

Hi, I am in my country right now as I had to come back for an emergency. I am just processing my OPT right now but need to be in the U.S by the end of next week. Officially I need the official paper of the Immigration comfirming my OPT is pending but the immigration also send a comfirming email.

Has anyone managed to be accepted in the US territory with just the email comfirming that the file is being processed?

Let me know because as soon as I have the email I will take a plane!

By the way, do someone know if we need a paper from a potencial employer to justify of an ITW?
