  • OPT approved and then denied

I graduated in May 2011. My OPT started on July, 11, 2011.Currently, I have my EAD card. But when I applied for my OPT, I had second thought in my mind to extend my graduation, so I sent an application to USCIS to withdraw my application. But, they followed up with me by e--mail saying that they cannot withdraw my application at this time ("It is too late to withdraw the application"). I accepted my OPT and started searching for a job.In a week I got a job. I talked to my DSO to update my SEVIS record and they did.

Recently, I got a new job. I e-mailed my DSO to inform, so they can update my SEVIS records. My DSO replied me that my OPT is revoked on Dec 15 as I applied for withdrawal before. I explained her situation and she applied for datafix on SEVIS. My datafix request was started on Jan26, 2012.

Yesterday (Feb 11th, 2012), I got a latter from USCIS saying my OPT is revoked as I applied for withdrawal. It is mentioned in latter that " The dates from July 11,2011 to July 10,2012, for which you were granted employment authirization, have been restored. If you seek employment in the future, submit a copy of this latter along with your application to show that you are entitled to the full amount of unused practical training, including period covered in notice"

Can anyone please guide me what should do in this situation??

I am really worried...thank you for your reasponse.

You should consult a good, experienced attorney. This seems to be complicated.
This is my opinion and not legal advice.
