    Travel to Mexico for F1-visa application !

    Hello Altruist, I am a foreign national by birth. I came to USA with a B1/B2 visa and changed my status to F2-dependent. Now I have got full funded PhD research scholarship (Microbiology dept.) in USA. Currently I have B1/B2 visa stamp and i-797A Notice of Action (F-2 status changed) documents. Can I travel to Mexico for 5-7 days for F-1 visa application and re-enter USA, if visa is accepted or even not? Thank you all.

    of course. Now the United States has a new president, so the laws will be amended. that will help you.

      You should ask these questions to the authorities. Try contacting the embassy! Due to the pandemic, the rules may be different now.
