  • Best beaches for a relaxing break in December/January

    Hey guys,

Planning a trip for myself and my GF to Mexico in December. This will be our first time visiting. We are looking to spend 5/6 days at the beach. I would really appreciate advice on nice beach areas to visit, which are not tourist traps / too intense. We're not into the heavy partying scene. We prefer nice relaxed vibe, good food, local culture, beautiful natural places to visit.

Happy to travel anywhere in the country, and not too cost-sensitive. Want to avoid all-inclusive resorts unless its something amazing. Some of the areas that have come up on Google so far are Tulum, Puerto Escondido, Puerto Vallarta, and Baja.

As a side note - we are also planning to spend 4/5 days in Mexico City and 3/4 days in Oaxaca Town on this trip, and so if anyone has any good hotel and food reccs for either, would be grateful. Thanks in advance!

      For a relaxing beach experience:
      1. Tulum: Beautiful beaches, eco-friendly vibe.
      2. Puerto Escondido: Laid-back atmosphere, great surf.
      3. Isla Holbox: Tranquil island, clear waters.
      4. Sayulita: Bohemian vibe, excellent surf.

In Mexico City, consider Hotel Habita or Hotel Condesa DF. In Oaxaca Town, try Casa Oaxaca or Hotel Los Amantes. Enjoy local dining at Los Danzantes or El Destilado.

Hello, consider exploring the beaches of Tulum for stunning scenery and Mayan ruins, or Puerto Escondido for a laid-back vibe and excellent food. For a unique experience, check out Isla Holbox, a peaceful island with no cars, perfect for relaxing and enjoying local culture. In Mexico City, try Pujol or Contramar for a memorable dining experience, and in Oaxaca, stay at Hotel Los Amantes and visit Casa Oaxaca for delicious local cuisine. Also check AllWorld.com for more details regarding travel.

I'd recommend Tulum. It has a beautiful coastline with crystal clear water. The vibe is very chill and laid back without being too touristy. You'll find good local food and mezcal spots. For accommodation, check out Dorado La Playa it's right on the beach and has nice bungalows. You can check their official tourism website for tour guide planning. I stayed at Hotel Condesa DF in Mexico City during my visit. If you want a tour guide you can check out https://gowithguide.com/spain I have used them recetly in my trip in Spain. They have guides for Mexico as well. Let me know if you want any contact information.

I'm also looking for such places. I hope to lose weight by that time. I already found https://betterme.world/articles/lean...r-weight-loss/ and started exercising. I hope to do it more regularly since I don’t have much time for it right now. I'm really happy that I’m going on vacation soon, but I also want to look great there!

Based on your preferences for a relaxed atmosphere, good food, and local culture, here are some excellent beach destinations in Mexico to consider for your December/January trip:
                • Pros: Beautiful white-sand beaches, ancient Mayan ruins, bohemian atmosphere, and a variety of accommodations from boutique hotels to eco-lodges.
                • Cons: Can be crowded during peak season, especially around the main beach area.
