Wife on F-2 entering US close to my OPT expiration date

I am on F-1 OPT working for a company since its beginning on May 16, 2010 and it will expire on May 16, 2011. My wife was recently approved a F-2 visa and she is planning to enter the US for the first time sometime within May 2-4, 2011. Her plan is to attend her brother's marriage on May 1, 2011 and then leave for the US. Will it be a problem for her at the port of entry due to the date being so close to my OPT expiration date, which is of course indicated on her I-20? Should I ask her to reconsider attending her brother's marriage and enter earlier to avoid potential problems at the POE?

That could be a problem. What are your plans post-OPT. Are you applying for extension or H1? If yes, she may show the receipt for those applications and enter. If you are applying for H1, she will need to file I-539 to change her status from F2 to H4 before H1 effective date.
