Need travel tips for Mumbai Airport arrival

Hello,

My husband and I are traveling to India this christmas to visit my family (he is a USC and I have a GC). I have not visited home since I moved to the US and I would like some travel tips on clearing customs without any hassles. We are carrying with us a few gifts (mainly chocolates, bath and body products, cosmetics). We do not intend to carry too many electronics except the basic (a regular digi cam, 1 touchpad for the 2 of us and our cellphones). I have heard of incidences of passengers being hassled a lot by customs. Could you please share some tips and/or your experience at the mumbai airport? Also, will my Indian passport and GC suffice as travel documents ? Thank you

You just need Indian passport to enter India.

Whether there would be hassles at Mumbai airport or not is subjective and there is no way to avoid that with some tips.
