Travelled into Hong Kong city during transit - is it counted "countries travelled"?

While answering to this question in DS 160 - "Have you traveled to any countries within the last five years?", should I enter "Hong Kong" as well if I used my 12 hours long transit time to go into the Hong Kong city for site seeing, while travelling from US to India?

Also there are 2 options: Hong Kong SAR and Hong Kong BNU. which one should I choose if I just went to the IFC mall, Hong Kong?

You went through passport control and into the city, so go ahead and list Hong Kong SAR.
