  • Please help me with Direct Airside Transit Visa...

I am an Indian Citizen and currently in US for past 1 year, my US H1B Visa has been expired, however still holding a valid B1 visa till 2020.
Now going back to India with my wife and daughter to get my visa Extended. I have booked a flight in which i have to change my flight in Heathrow, London.
I understand the Direct Airside Transit Visa is required in this case

    Quesitons
    1. Do i need the DATV or will my B1 visa suffice?
    2. Does my Spouse and Child needs a DATV? (Their H4 visa expired)
    3. Can some one help me with all the valid documents that is required for applying DATV for my wife and child. My child is minor (under 18) and my Wife is not employed (came on H4 with me)
    4. Time frame to get the Visa as i have already got the appointment on 29/Nov and i am flying on 24th December

Appreciate your help.. Thanks in advance

    Hi

Hi I am in the same situation, I have read at most of the places that its not required if you have a valid visa like B1/B2. However I want to confirm it, did you get any further input.

    thanks

INDIAN with Valid US VISA - NO NEED of Airside Transit VISA -updated 30th Dec 2013

Google "Transit without visa' concession - DATV exemptions".

      Visit:

If you are Indian, you are a "DATV national" & all eligible for above exemptions.

All you need is a valid non expired US Visa!! so CHILL!!
