Is UK Transit Visa required for Travel from US to India via Heathrow London Airport?

I have a round trip travel tickets booked with British Airways from Chicago, USA to Mumbai, India via Heathrow London Airport.
I have a valid H1B visa until March 2015. And i have not travelled from US to India since last 1.5 years.

Is UK Transit Visa required for Travel from US to India via Heathrow London Airport?
