Travelling as dependent

Hi

My Wife was studying and now has got a job and the work permit . I want to join My wife and if possible get a job as well .
One of agency I approached told me that I need to get PCC of My wife . I dont know if that is true.

Can anyone clarify if the PCC of my wife is needed or if needed , can It done from India . What documents are needed to get PCC clearance if i have to do it from India.
