Transit Visa for UK for Indian citizen

Hello,

I hold a valid work permit in Canada and will be travelling to India through London. I will be in India for more than 6 months before returning through London again. Do I require UK transit visa?

I checked their website and it says "if you hold a valid diplomatic/official India passports you are not required to have a transit visa" . The passports that the normal citizens have- is it official? I know its not diplomatic.

Can anyone please let me know about it?
