Date of Birth Certificate--HSMP Visa

Hi,

I need my date of birth certificate for my HSMP visa. I was born in Karnataka, India ,in a small village . My birth was not recorded at that time in the village Tahsildar office. The municipal office in the nearby town has no records for births prior to 1984.They are not in a position to issue my birth certificate.I was born in 1976. I do not have my Indian Driving leicense.

So Please let me know how can I get my birth certificate. If any one had a similar situationn like this, please let me know how did you manage with the Birth certificate.

Is there any format in which I need to obtain my birth certificate? whats the procedure to obtain the same?

If anyone of you have that format Pls send me a copy.

Also I have seen in one of the forums that If the age is below 31 years then then its not required to submit the date of birth certificate.. How true is this for HSMP visa? Please let me know.
