Regarding passport

I have been to UK in the year 2001 for a short visit,I came back to india after 2 months,recently I have lost my passport and I applied for a new passport and submitted all the relevant documents like lost passport copy,police certificate etc,to the passport office.
I got new passport ,by mistake from the passport officials i got brand new passport,there are no details of my lost passport like passport number ,file number,and no proof of UK travelled,rest is same like Name ,address,Date of birth.
My question is can I apply for a student visa to UK on this brand new passport.

Yes, you can apply for a student visa on your brand new passport. Your old visa has no relevance or link to it.

It would be a good idea to have all your documentation in place so that if your name comes up for any reason about your previous trip, you can explain that your old p-assport was lost. But in my experience, this is unlikely, and they probably won't bother looking up the history of your passports.

Yes you are right my self thinking the same,keeping all relevant documents is the best thing.

i am having the same situation and can you able to tell what you did in this case and weather you applied uk visa after hiding all th details and did you get the visa or not?
and any biometric issue will raise during appling visa for uk...plz help ussssss
