Hello,
My travel to India from US has a 21hrs stop over in UK on the way back. I need to know if I need a Transit visa to go out of the airport and stay in a hotel and comeback the next day. I am currently a Recent Green Card Holder issued by USIS.
Some of the searches I did point towards that I do need to apply and get a transit visa. So, if I do need one, can I apply for it when I am in the UK? Or do I need to apply for it now and get it stamped in my Passport? I currently own an Indian passport with US green card.
Can someone please help me with some answers? Well apart from suggestion as contact British airways (I already did and also I've searched few website for information).
I am looking to see if someone under same situation has already done this once, and maybe they can share their FIRST HAND experience that might help us rest.
